St Patricks Day events...

Well here we are once again in the middle of March. It's nearly that time of year again to pretend that you are Irish, or bring up the fact that your Great-Great Grandfather's twice removed cousin was Irish, and so you are Irish too, at least for St Patricks Day.

There are quite a few parties lined up, it's especially handy this year because the 17th of March happens to rather conveniently land on a Thursday, so I imagine the Craic will be strong this time around.

So, here we go:

1. Grand Hyatt

Thursday and Friday this weekend see's the Habana sports bar offering Happy Hour prices on Guinness all weekend long. For the ladies there's the Paddy's Magarita, and for those with a fondness for cocktails, there's a 3 for 2 offer on Irish Guinness cocktails. Also, all of this month of March, there is an Irish Beef promotion at the ever popular Safari rooftop grill.

2. InterCon

Thursday night at the Al Ghazal comes with it a special offer of buy 2 get 1 free on tasty beverages. Dress Irish and get free entrance too.

3. The Radisson Blu

The Radisson have 2 offerings for green-based revelry this year, with a party planned in O'Malleys for Thursday night, and then a suitably green-themed brunch the following day. RO 5 cover charge for men to O'Malley's on the Thursday, with special offers on food and drink all night (of course, the ladies enter free of charge). RO 30 for brunch the following day.... well that might very well leave you feeling green after that too!

4. Feeney's Irish restaurant and bar

By now you have probably heard that Feeney's has closed in it's old location and reopened in it's new location. For extra fun, it's actually it's old, old location, slightly expanded. Before Feeney's was in Shatti, it used to be in the Beach Bay hotel, found next to the Hyatt. And now it's back there again. They're offering a special St Patrick's menu all weekend between the 15th - 18th March.

5. Mumtaz Mahal

What?! Well Mumtaz Mahal are offering something which I thought would be of interest to some of you. They're offering another Perfect Pairings event this Thursday the 17th from 7:30pm which is basically dinner paired up with different wines for each course in their private banquet room (22 places). The cost is RO 36 all in and I personally really enjoyed the last one that I went to. 6. Rumba Lattina

I have to say that I'm starting to quite like Rumba, they seem to consistently be doing some fabulous deals, and this Thursday is no exception. RO 25 for unlimited selected drinks between 7 and 10pm.
