Happy St Patrick's day to all the Irish reading this - I hope you've been having a "grand" day today :)
There are two deals to be had around town tonight for the event....
O'Malley's has a buy 2 and get 1 free on pints of Guinness (or Amstel Light) and also has Shepherds pie on for RO 5.
Feeny's has specials on Irish food and drinks all day, with live music from 7pm till 1:30am.
Thats all for today... tomorrow, an opportunity to win tickets to another event in the City...

OMigosh I love Irish music. I probably should never attend something like this because I'd start dancing (no no for Muslim chic ha ha) but awesome that so much traditional music is played with the only instrument technically allowed for Muslims (the duff aka the bodhran for Irish peeps).
ReplyDeleteNeat to know, the Celts who migrated to Ireland were related to the Pagan Yemeni Arab stock in some forms of grammar (thus terms of endearment resemmble one another] and that's why some traditional sports [hurling] is related to trad. Omani sport, almost identical in form and rules. The Irish also had a way of cooking meat similar to Omani shuwa back in the early Iron age;).I totally believe anthropoligists can link stories of the Jinn with Irish faeries/Sidhe stories and the otherworld.
